It is impressive how history repeats itself sometimes. During the 90's, 'Convulse' was one of the first death metal bands from Finland. They came up with an unforgettable classic from this era with "World Without God". Later, some rock 'n' roll elements were included and the fan base was everything but happy about that. This was the main reason for the break-up in 1994. In 2013, 'Convulse' returned to their roots with death metal album "Evil Prevails". Now, "Cycle Of Revenge" is an album that is again very different from its predecessor. One can hear melancholic/rock influences that remind of the times of "Amok". But also groove parts are included that remind of late Sepultura or Soulfly. Also, a psychedelic touch can be found á la Pink Floyd. Sounds exciting? It is!
