Het album bevat tijdloze favorieten en nummers die momenteel gespeeld worden tijdens de "Final Frontier World Tour", zoals "Fear Of Dark", "The Wicker Man", "Blood Brothers" en "Dance Of Death" maar ook nieuwe klassiekers zoals "El Dorado" en het verleidelijk suggestieve "When The Wind Blows". Ook toegevoegd: singles - bijvoorbeeld "Holy Smoke" en "Be Quick Or Be Dead", en ook de meer progressieve en sombere albumnummers zoals "Afraid To Shoot Strangers", en "For The Greater Good Of God".

11.When The Wild Wind Blows
door Thomas Clausen (18.04.2011) The last album by the British NWOBHM legends was glued to the #1 charts position in not less than 28 countries. This combo, the most successful epitome of a Heavy Metal band ever - has always raised the bar one notch higher with each of their releases in their 36 years of band history. On their new Best Of (2 CDs featuring 23 tracks altogether), front man Bruce Dickinson, bassist Steve Harris & Co. take a stroll down memory lane, to the years from 1990 to 2010 which included their most unsettled, and most exciting creative phases between crisis, experimental new identity, and glorious reunion. The result is an enjoyable, to some extent even melancholic, Maiden retrospective not limited to the respective singles of the last two decades, containing, among others, „Bring your daughter to the slaughter“, „Fear of the dark“, „The wicker man“, „For the greater good of god“, „El Dorado“, and „Coming home“. This will get you in the mood for the Iron Maiden shows this summer!
