De "Sound System" set van The Clash bestaat uit vijf meesterlijke studioalbums van de band in hun oorspronkelijke 8-track formaat. Alle albums werden geremasterd door de band zelf! Op de drie extra CD's staan demo's, non-album singles, bijzonder zeldzame opnames en B-kanten. De DVD bevat voorheen onuitgebracht videomateriaal van Don Letts en Julien Temple, promotievideo's en liveopnames. Tevens zitten er ook een gebruikershandleiding, herdrukte "Armagideon Times" fanzines van de band met een gloednieuwe uitgave (ontworpen door Paul Simonon) en diverse prullaria bij, zoals dogtags, badges, een sticker en een exclusieve poster, allemaal samengevoegd in een hoogwaardige doos in de vorm van een gettoblaster "Sound System"!
