On "Different Shades of Blue" - that's the title of studio record 11 by exceptional musician Joe Bonamassa - he focuses solely on his own compositions, even though there have been some blues or rock covers on many prior releases. To prepare for this, he met with big names like Jonathan Cain (Journey), James House (Diamond Rio, Dwight Yoakam, Martina McBride) and Jerry Flowers (Keith Urban). Again, he relies on Kevin Shirley to produce his album as Shirley was already responsible for the projects Black Country Communion and Beth Hart.
